Mike Kawooya with his trophy

Micheal Kawooya, from Uganda, has been crowned the USPA Squash player of 2012. It was another big achievement to add to an incredible record of success during 2012 for a player who had no sponsors and often had to hitchhike across this vast continent to play in tournaments.

I am delighted to report that Harrow have stepped in with a rackets deal for Mike, and we look forward to seeing more progress from this very talented and dedicated young man.

Playing squash in some parts of the world is no easy matter. Trying to do so professionally is even harder.

Mike, we salute you. Good luck for the future.
