Canary Wharf: Your chance to play a pro

YOUR CHANCE TO PLAY A PRO AT SQUASH
… ON THE PLASMA SCREEN

Here’s your chance to play squash against a leading pro. But instead of getting hot and sweaty and being run ragged around the squash court, you can take on the stars at the new Wii squash game at Canary Wharf.

During the build-up to the ISS Canary Wharf Classic, which takes place from March 21-25 at the East Wintergarden, new British champion Daryl Selby, former world champion Peter Nicol and current world No.7 Peter Barker will be trying their hand at the game against all-comers.

The action takes place in the Jubilee Mall at Canary Wharf on the following dates:

Monday 14: Daryl Selby

Tuesday 15: Peter Nicol

Wednesday 16: Peter Barker

Times: 11am to 3pm each day.

If you can beat the pros then your name will go into a free draw. The winner receives a Prince Racket and a pair of hot tickets to the star-studded event.

During the tournament itself, stars from the event will be in action against passers-by on the following dates:

Sunday, March 20: 12 noon to 3pm

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (March 21-23) 11am to 3pm

World champion Nick Matthew, the reigning Canary Wharf champion, is eager to retain his title and is top seed for this PSA World Tour event. He warmed up for Canary Wharf by winning the North American Open, beating Egyptian Ramy Ashour in a spectacular final, to maintain his place at the top of the world rankings.

Tickets to the event are once again looking likely to sell-out. Remaining tickets for the 2010 ISS Canary Wharf Squash Classic are on sale via Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.co.uk).
