For most sports fans a call up to the England squad would be a dream come true, particularly when the national team are at the peak of their sport. For one lucky squash fan the dream is about to become a reality.

England Squash & Racketball (ESR), the sport’s governing body in England, has today announced the launch of its Team England Golden Ticket competition which will see a member of public inducted to the Team England squad as a member of the national team.

The winner of this fantastic prize will become a member of the 2011-2012 Team England Squad which includes:

  • ·         A training session with the squad and England coaches
  • ·         A signed England kit and racket
  • ·         A place on the official team photo

With a host of players in their respective top ten world rankings, World number 1s and European champions within the ranks, the new recruit to ESR’s elite squad will be in good company in the same fold as the likes of PSA World Number One Nick Matthew.

Matthew, who recorded a double gold medal haul at the Commonwealth games in Delhi, will be glad to welcome a keen squash enthusiast to the fold. He says: “This competition is a great opportunity and will allow the lucky winner chance to join the inner circle of the England squash team, and see how some of the world’s top players train and live on a daily basis.”
