By ALAN THATCHER (Squash Mad Editor and Founder)
At the end of this month I am taking a step back and retiring from editing Squash Mad.
I just want to say a huge thank you to all the many players, journalists, photographers, contributors, promoters, squash leaders and entrepreneurs who have helped to build and support the only independent global news website in squash.
It has been a joy to curate and edit so many varied articles, creating a platform to share your views and to promote debates about the game and its future, and to highlight the individual stories of courage and achievement which are sent in every week to Squash Mad from around the world.
We have built up some real momentum in recent months and I am leaving Squash Mad in capable hands with a team of great writers on board.
After two bouts of Covid I need to focus on my health and I look forward to spending more time on court instead of being chained to my laptop.
I have met so many great people around the world while working in squash during more than 30 years of running tournaments, finding sponsors, commentating, coaching, chatting to crowds, and helping to rescue the grass roots of our wonderful game.
Squash Mad may be taking a short break in December before a planned relaunch in January.
Please stay loyal and support the new team.
It’ll soon be Hand Out from me.
