The world is truly our stage, says squash tour body

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has announced its calendar up until December, with 24 World Events set to take place across 14 countries in a frenetic beginning to the 2025-26 PSA Squash Tour season. The PSA says the “depth of competition across all tiers is stronger than ever.”

The new campaign kicked off with the Copper-level NSW Squash Bega Open in Australia last month before Alexandra Palace hosts the London Classic Gold-level event between September 2-7.

The first Diamond-tier event of the season will see the world’s best players compete in front of the famous Great Pyramid of Giza for the CIB Egyptian Open title. The main draw will be held September 12-19, with a qualifying tournament taking place between September 8-10.

The opening Platinum-level tournament of the season, the QTerminals Qatar Classic, will be held between September 28 – October 4.

The PSA Squash Tour then heads to the United States for four events, including the Silicon Valley Open in Redwood, which leads into the U.S. Open in Philadelphia, with the Arlen Specter US Squash Center hosting the first major Platinum-level event in the United States this season.

Shanghai hosts the China Open between November 11-16, before the Hong Kong Open (December 1-7) closes out 2025.

The opening stages of the season will enable players to make early moves on the Road to Tour Finals Standings.

Points for the standings will be available at all World Events throughout the season, with the top eight players qualifying for the season-ending PSA Squash Tour Finals in June 2026. All Diamond winners and the reigning PSA World Champions qualify automatically. Women’s World No.1 Nouran Gohar and men’s World No.4 Joel Makin are the defending PSA Squash Tour Finals champions.

“As we head into the 2025-26 season, there’s a real sense of momentum around the PSA Squash Tour,” said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.

“With squash’s superstars set to compete at some of the most iconic sporting locations around the globe – such as the Great Pyramid of Giza, Grand Central Terminal and Alexandra Palace to name a few – the world is truly our stage.

“Our calendar continues to have a strong global footprint, and the depth of competition across all tiers is stronger than ever.”
