England’s Laura Massaro has maintained her position as the Women’s World No.1 for the second consecutive month after topping the February PSA Women’s World Rankings released today (Feb 1).

Massaro maintains a narrow advantage over rivals Nicol David, who moves back into second place after falling to a ten-year low of No.3 in December 2015, with Raneem El Welily, the woman Massaro overtook atop the standings on January 1, dropping to No.3 – her lowest ranking since 2014.

J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions winner Nour El Sherbini moves up a World No.4 while runner-up in that tournament Amanda Sobhy, the top-ranked American player, climbs to a new career-high of World No.7.

After reaching the semi-final in New York, World Junior Champion Nouran Gohar has achieved a career-high place of World No.8 while England’s Alison Waters has fallen to a four-year low of No.13.
