Three Egyptians in top five

The 20-year-old Egyptian Nour El Sherbini has maintained her grasp on the coveted Women’s World No.1 berth for a second consecutive month to stay ahead of England’s Laura Massaro – the World No.2 who won the recent PSA Dubai World Series Finals – in the June PSA Women’s World Rankings released today.
El Sherbini is one of three Egyptians inside the top five, with Raneem El Welily maintaining her No.3 position and 18-year-old Nouran Gohar moving up one place to a new career-high position of No.5 – with Malaysia’s eight-time World Champion Nicol David also moving up one place to No.4.
One year after last reaching her joint career-best ranking of World No.3, England’s Alison Waters has moved back into the top 10 at No.10 while Frenchwoman Camille Serme drops two places to No.6 – her lowest ranking position in twelve months.
India’s Joshna Chinappa has moved up two places to No.11, a new career best, with English duo Emily Whitlock and Victoria Lust also moving up to new career best positions inside the top 20 at No.16 and No.17, respectively.
