Future of sports? Gina Kennedy teams up to launch virtual squash game

A game production start-up has teamed up with Commonwealth champion Gina Kennedy to bring C-Smash VRS into the real world.

RapidEyeMovers launched a brand-new video in the summer featuring Kennedy.

Gina takes on squash in the virtual world of C-Smash VRS and brings her skills on the court into the world of virtual gaming.

Teaming up to talk about her career, her Commonwealth England gold win and her charity work with Open Squash, a non-profit organisation with the aim of making the game of squash —and all its health and social benefits—accessible to everyone, Kennedy dons the PSVR2 headset and enters a new domain in the world of racket sports.

Kennedy said: “C-Smash VRS is a great game for everyone, but especially for those that enjoy physical activity! It’s amazing to see a game that gives you the genuine feel or real-life sport.

“I must admit I am not really a gamer at heart, but C-Smash VRS has definitely made me a convert. I’ve been playing Squash since I was 9 years old and have never come across something quite like this before.

“It’s fun, entertaining, exhausting, and great for developing hand eye coordination. I can’t wait to play again.”

A simple concept of squash meets breakout, C-Smash VRS brings together the very best of racket sports.

The England star performs trick smashes and shots, dashes, and ducks and plays her way through many levels of fitness and fun in 360 gaming experience.
