Anjema signs with Harrow Sports

Anjema marks new Harrow deal with victory at Dutch Nationals

World number 16 Laurens Jan Anjema has signed a three year deal to become the new global ambassador of Harrow Sports.

The Dutch number one used his new racket, the Harrow Stealth, for the first time last weekend as he won his ninth consecutive Dutch National Championship by defeating fellow Harrow player Piedro Schweeertman 11-6, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5 in the final.

“I am very excited to be part of the Harrow team,” said the 31-year-old left-hander. “The first time I put the Harrow Stealth in my hands, I immediately had a great feeling.

“Good equipment is crucial for any professional athlete and it feels awesome to know that I don’t have to worry about this for the next couple of years.”

Dave Rosen, Vice President of Racquet Sports at Harrow, added: “We are ecstatic to have a player of LJ’s ability and global appeal on board.

“He has been a top player and worldwide favourite on the PSA Tour for years and we are confident he will continue to stay at the top of his game as he plays his way back into the top ten in the world rankings.

“We continue to innovate with new products and LJ will be at the forefront of this development as we eagerly work to expand our brand around the world.”

Anjema, who lost in the second round of the Tournament of Champions in January, will return to action on the PSA Tour at the Windy City Open later this month.
