From our Squash MadĀ Australia Bureau

The Australian Open is back on the calendar this year and will feature equal prize money for men and women.

The 2015 event is being staged at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in August and will include a prize fund of $25,000 dollars for each of the male and female world-ranking tournaments.

The organisers, Squash and Racketball Victoria, are hoping to attract sponsors to build the event over the next three years and make it attractive to the world’s leading players, and especially all of the top Aussie players who are based overseas.
