Aggro in Aberdeen leads to fine for French player Arthur Moineau
By ALAN THATCHER (Squash Mad)

French player Arthur Moineau has been fined by the PSA for his aggressive behaviour during the 2015 North of Scotland Open in Aberdeen.

The 22-year-old from Brest, who is now based in Nottingham, was fined £500 with a further £500 fine suspended.

Moineau lost to Belgian Tom De Mulder in the qualifying finals and, after lots of name-calling on court, and several physical exchanges, Moineau is alleged to have grabbed his opponent and pinned him against a wall.

One player said: “They were best of friends before this match but looked anything but when they went on court. There were lots of altercations and club members had to pull them apart when it kicked off at the end.”

De Mulder was reported for “unsportsmanlike conduct” but no further action was taken.

IMG_2408Shaun Le Roux (right, in action) and Omar Meguid were also reported following a stormy battle during the Canary Wharf qualifying finals.

Le Roux was fined £100 for an audible obscenity at the end of a dramatic fifth-game tussle.

World No.26 Gregoire Marche was fined £200 for unsportsmanlike conduct and racket abuse during the Pittsburgh Open.

England’s former European junior champion Richie Fallows was fined £50 for “leaving court” during the Squash Promotion and Heroes Open in Poland.
