Great chance for NorCal locals to shine in growing circuit

Bay Club Redwood Shores is excited to host its first PSA Closed Satellite event this coming weekend.
Sponsored by Tatleaux de Pera Solar this tournament brings together the previous 3 winners of these tournaments and is sure to serve up some entertaining and high quality squash.
Joining previous winners, Charlie Johnson, Chris Hanson and Jesus Camacho is Cody Cortes who is a “local” transplant from Boston. A recent graduate of Milton Academy. Cody has family and a home in San Francisco and is spending part of his gap year training in the Bay Area.
Smaller prize money PSA events provide opportunities for young players to gain valuable ranking points as well as experience that will help them ultimately move into larger $5K tournaments rather than having to rely on local and wildcard spots.
Another advantage is that they give high-level junior players a chance to gauge their own ability by allowing them to enter the professional events as amateur players.
Local juniors, Gabriel Morgan and Cole Becker, are entered in the PSA event this weekend.
Running alongside this weekend’s PSA event is a Junior Silver tournament sponsored by NorCal Squash.
