Live coverage from World Tour to be screened in New Zealand

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) have expanded their broadcast portfolio with the addition of SKY TV New Zealand after signing an 18-month agreement with the Australasia broadcaster.
The agreement, which was reached in conjunction with Broadreach Media, will see live squash from the PSA World Tour broadcast across New Zealand for the first time and will allow the channel’s more than 800,000 customers to follow the exploits of leading players such as Commonwealth Games star Joelle King, who is due to return to action soon after injury.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with SKY TV and look forward to working closely with then to keep driving squash forward within the Australasian marketplace,” said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.
“Squash has enjoyed an upturn in popularity in New Zealand recently and, in a country which places a strong emphasis on sporting culture, we feel that SKY TV will be an integral partner for us as we look to continue that growth during the next few years.”
SKY TV’s Director of Sport Richard Last said: “We’re always looking to promote and broadcast new content on SKY Sport. New Zealanders love following Kiwis on the world stage and the addition of live squash on SKY is another great extension to our varied sporting line-up.”
In addition to SKY TV New Zealand, the PSA have also signed an agreement with FOX Australia that will see them broadcast official PSA World Series events highlights throughout the 2015/2016 seasons.
