England’s Radlett Squash Club won an unprecedented treble after coming away with the Herts, Middlesex, and Herts Open Cup competitions last month.
The Radlett squad of Tom King, Lee and Nick Rossiter, Joe Green, Jamie Gall, and Kris Anwar recorded a slice of club history after becoming the first to win all three trophy tournaments.
Mark Roycroft, the RLTSC Squash chair, said: “It was the first time this has been done by any team and as chairman, it was fantastic to present the prizes knowing the effort it took to get there.
“It was a joy to watch all our players perform to their highest level and the team won every match on the finals night.”
There is pedigree in the Radlett team. Take Lee Rossiter, who first picked up a racket aged four.
As a junior he was Middlesex County Champion for seven consecutive years and part of the Hertfordshire Junior County Team that were national champions for three years’ running.Â
He also played for the East England Region and reached the top 10 in the England Squash Junior Rankings.
Radlett boasts four glass-back squash courts “that are among the very best in the region, making us the club of choice for most of the recent Hertfordshire County Closed Championships, as well as Inter-County Weekends and many Junior Tournaments.”
