Squash players from around the world will travel to the Dutch city of Rotterdam again later this year to compete in the Rotterdam Open, which will be played from August 28-31 at one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the Netherlands, Victoria Squash (right).
The 2014 Rotterdam Open features both a Professional Squash Association (PSA) and Women’s Squash Association (WSA) event, with both the men and women competing for a total prize fund of $ 5,000.
The management of the only international pro squash championship in the Netherlands will be in the hands of Victoria Squash Rotterdam for the first time, to the excitement of Cor van den Heuvel: “We have always felt that this type of event should take place annually at our club.
“It raises the awareness of our beautiful sport and contributes towards our goal to make the sport more known within our sporting city”, said the club’s chairman.
Like last year the 2014 Rotterdam Open Squash will take place simultaneously with the Rotterdam Open Tennis, an ITF Future tournament attracting professional tennis players from around the globe.
