Praise for World Squash Day clubs, top coaches and top pros
By STEVE WALTON – Squash Mad Australia Roving Reporter
Our roving reporter Steve Walton turns into a raving reporter this week as he dresses up to deliver a keynote speech from Down Under.
He praises all the clubs and squash centres who got behind World Squash Day, but reckons the state associations and national federation could have done much, much more to promote this important day on the squash calendar.
Steve’s been watching all the latest action on SquashTV and, like the rest of the world, laments Ramy Ashour’s latest hamstring twinge. But, boy, isn’t it fun to watch all the shock results ripping up the rankings and playing havoc with the seedings.
As well as praising Aaron Frankcomb’s East Coach Squash Academy, Steve also talks about a squash club open 24/7 in Sydney, and discusses all the latest products on the scene.
Hot news: Dunlop is back on sale in Australia, with Sarah Fitz-Gerald heading up the Dunlop Academy. And just check out the latest beauties from Karakal (Cam Pilley’s signature racket) and some beauties from Salming, both in orange. It’s the future, apparently.
