WSF publish new court specifications

All courts, like the Courtwall design at Canary Wharf, have to meet WSF specifications

Global update for court builders
By HOWARD HARDING

The World Squash Federation has extensively updated its specifications for squash courts, featuring various new clauses and drawings.

The WSF Squash Court Specifications 2017 provide an invaluable source of information for all architects, specifiers and builders, giving details of dimensions, materials and tolerances for court flooring, walls, lighting, and all the other facets that make up a squash court.

Chris Herridge, the WSF Technical Committee Director who managed the updating process, commented: “WSF provides the WSF Court Specifications so that there is one comprehensive source of technical information for all involved in the court construction process.

“This, linked to the WSF Accredited Product listing of those materials that are known to be excellent, suitable materials ensures that for players, whatever their standard, will have a very good court in which to play.”

New courts must be built to the specifications and must only use WSF Accredited Products for WSF World and Regional Championship events.
