WORLD number six and Spanish Champion, Borja Golan, has signed a three-year deal with Eye Rackets. This is the second high profile signing for Eye, with four times World Champion, Amr Shabana, having joined the team last September.

Eye Rackets ambassador, Joey Barrington said today: “These are times of real growth for us and we’re excited to have such a big name join us.

“Borja has been going from strength to strength, having reached his maiden World Series final in December 2013 and world ranking high of six only a few days ago. His recovery from such a debilitating injury (2009) has been impressive to watch. Here’s to hoping he continues his march up the rankings.”

“Eye continue to attract some of the biggest names in squash, none more so than Amr Shabana, who recently dazzled a packed crowd at Grand Central Station to win the Tournament of Champions World Series event , beating the world’s number one, two and five along the way.

“Our unique approach, and commitment to the betterment of the game, only serves to make us one of the most talked about brands on the market. One thing’s for sure, Eye Rackets are here to stay.”

With 29 PSA tour titles to his name, Golan is using all his experience as he pushes towards the world’s top five.

Borja admitted: “It was a simple decision for me. Eye are doing some great things in squash right now and their rackets are simply the best around.

“The balance is outstanding and the extra racket head speed I can generate, from such a small backswing, is something I can’t wait to try out. It’s nice to be part of something different that challenges what we think of as normal.”

See Borja Golan using the X.Lite 120 Pro Control at the Swedish Open (04-08 Feb) where he’s looking to continue his rich vein of form. To learn more, visit www.eyerackets.com or www.eyerackets.co.uk (if living in the UK).
