PSL comeback for crocked Jenny

World number 10 Jenny Duncalf will make her comeback from an Achilles tendon injury in Chapel Allerton’s PSL match against Duffield next Tuesday.

The 31-year-old from Yorkshire will face world no.2 Laura Massaro in her first competitive match since withdrawing from the $50,000 Windy City Open in Chicago last month.

“I’d like to think I’m fully recovered from the injury, although I’ll know for sure in a few days’ time,” said Duncalf, who hurt her Achilles in a Commonwealth Games doubles practice after the Nationals. “So far so good, though…touch wood!”

She admitted her match against Massaro would stand her “in good stead” for the World Championship in Malaysia, which begins on March 17.
