ELSHORBAGY brothers Mohamed and Marwan went head-to-head in Hong Kong today (Wednesday) with neither of them relishing winning a place in the quarter-finals.

Mohamed, world number four,  ran out a 3-0 winner but admitted:”It was tough for both of us today. We are normally on the same side so it was difficult.”

He admitted on Facebook before the match:” I have to play against my younger brother for a place in the quarter finals..but I’m not very happy. It will be a very hard match emotionally for both of us.”

In the first-round, Mohamed eased past home crowd favourite Leo Au in straight games, while Marwan showed signs of the form which won him the ReidBuilt Homes Edmonton Open by beating Ryan Cuskelly 3-1.
